Was the top painted or left copper? The guy that recored mine painted it, thinking about stripping it back to copper but want to stay original. Thanks

Truthfully I dont know. Id say it was glossier than the core support was. Take a look and judge for yourself.

they were definitely painted gloss black Yep, you can buy rattle cans of "Radiator Black" from Pep Boys or an auto parts store and Eastwood has it as well. www.eastwood.com/ew-radiator-black-paint-gloss-aerosol-12-oz.htmlPersonally I like things to shine so I polish the brass and it looks sweet, in my opinion of course. Others disagree and some very loudly for some reason. ;D
