I have one on the '64 vert and have to agree with Brian about scratching the clear coat. Mine was around $75, cannot recall the brand and I am at work so cannot run down and look. Ordered it off amazon a cople years back. It is a courser fabric because it keeps out the UV rays. Not a problem in San Fransisco but was an issue in Los Angeles when the car sat outside. Hope someone else can give a solution to the scratch issue. I hope it doesn't mean spedning $300 for a cover. I guess $300 would be cheaper than re-clearing the car!

I've had good luck with these Funny... I already had this link open on my pc. BRO, which ones have you used? The car is parked in my primary garage, and is the way we enter/exit the house. So when the garage door is opened, water can drip from the garage door, or rain/snow and drive directly in. I like the sound of the flannel for protection of the clear, but not sure that would be a good idea since it can get splattered with moisture. While I was re-buliding the car, I used one of the cheap $65 dust covers. But I know I don't want that laying against the paint.

It's been a while, but I think it was the Dust Top. Although I have 2 more over top of that one. A flannel and a cheap $40.00 composite. One good thing about the Dustop, or probably all of the Block It, covers is that they are very large and cover all the way down, all the way around.

I'd check out e-bay they have a lot of name brand at buy now discount price. The price seems to depend on how many layers and what it is suppose to protect against. What ever type you get make sure it can breathe so you don't lock any type of moisture in. Just my 2 cents. Gary

I bought mine from Griots Garage. I cant remember what style it was but it wasnt cheap. Seems to do a good job. Griots are excellent covers, so are California Car covers. I was went to a Goodguys car show outside of Oakland last year and California cover had a booth there. They make a bunch of different options and you can customize them to. Very good covers. I virtually positive that both Griots and California have a version with the soft flannel that touches the paint and different top covers to either add dust stop and all weather Sunbrella. Either way, like Jasen said, not cheap. But after going through a bunch of cheap ones, better quality (expensive) is the way to go.
