Should have posted this recommendation a few months back when I had the work done... www.kochssteeringwheels.com/productcart/pc/mainIndex.asp- Lots of attention to detail
- When the wheel arrived in their shop, I was called to go over the details of what I wanted done
- Made additional suggestions that would improve my satisfaction with the end result -- re-chroming the 4 trim rings
- To make sure that they got the color EXACTLY as I wanted it, they had me send a paint card sprayed with the color to be used on the car -- Lucerne Mist
- Quick turn around... wheel was only in their shop 7 days, excluding the time it took me to send them a paint card.
- Their product is not a "repair the cracks" process. They completely remove all old wheel material, stripping it down to the bare metal sub-frame. Using factory casts, they re-cast the steering wheel
- End result is absolutely fantastic
- Cost was $400, plus $40 for the trim rings to be re-chromed, plus shipping (roughly $28 each way).
Honestly, how can you beat that?

I can almost throw a rock to their shop, he specializes in VW's, he helped us put together my lil bro's '57 Bug before he passed away so he could enjoy it before he left us. I've seen his work, top notch.

I'm the guy who loaned them a very nice steering wheel to use for the mold they use. I had heard they were looking for a nice 64-66 Cutlass Deluxe wheel to use for the mold. I called them and they said they had looked everywhere and @ a lot of wheels with no luck. I told them I had a nice one and would be glad to send it to see if it met their expectations. So I sent it out there and they were floored by how nice it was,so now you know the rest of the story.
