$ 7000.00 U.S. dollars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your a 425 lover like me, "It`s gotta put a smile on your face" Gotta run, I`ve got a few cranks I need to get to the machinist O.K. So I decided after calling the phone number in the add, it`s probably not worth running to the machine shop . confused To say the least, my conversation was an education. The car this engine came out of was a "rare" 1965 f-85 4 door, 3 speed on the column, not to be confused with the larger cutlass. The f85 looked similar to the cutlass from the rear, but the f85 looked more like a chevelle from the front. In 65 olds offered 3 different cubic inch engines, the 394, a 425, and a 442. I asked if the 442 c.i. wasn`t really the model of the car? He giggled a little and said that`s where most people get confused. Now this engine is the super rocket which makes it the highest h.p. engine olds ever produced @ 330 h.p. (where is this 330 number going you ask?) This guy is a self proclaimed race car builder by night, and lays rail for the railroad by day. So, if your ever in the North East, up by Canada, DON`T ride the train Forgot to mention, he researched this for several days, and yes I kept a civil tongue while talking to him.

That's the illusive factory 65 442 425 engine everyone has been looking for. They put just a few of these in the 442. I had one just like it back in the day. I was wondering when we would find proof that 425's were available for the 442. And I bet that was the factory color scheme as well. I can just imagine the colors of the car this came out of.

After talking to Ricky for several minutes, I came to realize that the car probably had all the little fuzzy ball thingies around the inside of the windshield, you know angle hair dash cover, fiesta style ! Now after filling some of my time with him because of sheer boredom today, how the hell do I get out of this without hurting his feelings. Oh,!! Silly me, it`s me were talking about, hurt feelings?
Cool, post #455, now were getting to the BIG power range

I surrender, the proof is out, how could I have missed the obvious all these years. After seeing the engine I realize now that I have seen one of those before. It was in a car that the hood blew off, and the doors flung open......................aaaaaaaand 47 midget clowns (not politically correct....little people) poured out of it and ran around, right after the elephant act.

But his #`s are in the add, he lives in Maine with his folks, the first # gets the parents home, mom answeres, dad was at work, ricky was on the road working for the railroad, I`m NOT shittin ya !! He first sent the pic to my phone, bubba had to guide me thru getting it to my computer to post it.

Where do these boneheads come up with their info? There are either other people out there spreading this kind of nonsense(which should be a capital crime) OR they have much better drugs on the east coast than I thought they did. Either way I bet there would be no arguing with the guy as I am sure he believes this crap like he saw it on tablets. Pretty sad.

Either way I bet there would be no arguing with the guy as I am sure he believes this crap like he saw it on tablets. Pretty sad. The internet is a wealth of info, you can justify most anything, find corroborating information to convince yourself, and others, that certain information is fact. And yes, there are sites out there that are considered "tablets". This quote " I always appreciate your analytical input and the facts to back them. was from a person that was looking for information from someone that I was led to believe, was a guru in this field. Some of the information that was received from the guru, was obviously derived from several different and conflicting web sites, and some was just plain B/S, with few, if any FACTS to back them up. The only thing you can do is to graciously BUG OUT !!
