Sure many of you have been there but just drove 1700 miles to help my mom shore up her house. Lives in McCook lake which is a couple miles from the dunes area in Sioux City Ia. Expecting the Missouri river to breach it's 500 year flood levels by 3'. Been filling and laying sand bags all day. Amazing to see helicopters, national guard and all the busyness. Water should hit it's high June 14th but worse part is it will stay that high through August! This is an area that was not ever expected to flood and expecting 6-8 ' of water at her house. Mother nature ain't happy this year.

I feel for you bud. She is pissed at someone. We were Kings of the Hurricanes a few years back. Got to live 5 of them. The only thing that saved us is house is on a 35 foot man made hill. The second hurricand rose our water level 23 feet for over a week. Who new? other than the builder of our house. Good luck, I will say a prayer for you tonight.
