see if this helps........... it should
You are grounding between the dash switch and the motor or the switch is bad.

pop wipers off and put them where they need to be. That might cause other problems though.

RamZ, only if he has the round type motors. The square motors simply rotate from park to up on the windscreen. The round motors move up around two inches then hit normal travel. You can put your arms anywhere you need on the square ones. If the round ones can't find park, there is usually an issue with the internal mechanism. I just went through six round motors until I found one that worked right. I had it marked "69 Skylark" . I had it on the shelf for well over ten years.

The swing arm on the back of the motor might be out of position. Are the wipers moving in the range they are supposed to? All the way up and down with hitting the chrome trim? If so moving the swing arm to where it will park the wipers probably wont work.
I had one car that would not park, just had to switch them off when they were at the bottom.

If you move the wipers..... be sure you are in the park position and where they are going to go when you turn the switch. The last thing you want is for them to shoot across the hood.

They are weird...it is the square motor...they start at the right spot and sweep right across...wipe real nice. No matter where I turn it off it parks pretty much in the same spot. After I shut the car off I can manualy push them back down to the bottom of the glass but as soon as I turn the car on it moves back to the middle and parks there...Not like I drive the car in the rain but around here we get the occasional shower so it might get wet...
Might just have to get a bracket for a round one and use one of my spares instead...or try one more new one

Been there done that. I'm surprise no one ever made a small slide hammer type puller for them.
