OK, is this an oil return hole or something else? Looked on Bros site but that picTure is hard to distinguish. It's a thin sheet metal knock out area which I assume is supposed to be open like this, likely cleaned up and tear stopes for better return. Want to be sure before I hack away.

The 65 400's were not cut thru, but the 66 and up (400's & 425's) that I have on hand, are. I would take a die grinder and clean it up. FYI: It is not a sheet metal plug, just a thin area in the casting that was made to punch out if they desired. The 65 389298 B block has the same "thin cast" indentation, when looking from the timing chain side, but it is NOT punched out.

Thanks Bro! My heart jumped when I first saw it but then thought that was likely the case. Appreciate your feedback.
