Is there a mounting bracket to secure the rear brake line junction block to a 12-bolt chevy rear end?
I pulled the rear end this past week to replace the bushings and the brake lines, and figured out that the mounting bracket I have must be for a 10-bolt, since the bracket hole doesn't line up anywhere near either of the top holes in the 12-bolt. That would explain why I didn't re-attach it when I swap rear ends in 1986, but why I didn't seek a solution back then... who knows. Let's just say I was 25 years younger.

Windex, duct tape, spit, grit, glue, JB, there has to be away. I just took a look at my wondeful 12 bolt collection, it seems the 68-72 had a bracket as part of the line, the 65-67s the junction bolts to the bracket. My CO has my camera but I'll try to pry it out of her hands tonight. daughter just graduated HS and wifey is taking pics of everything.

Thanks for that link. I'll have to do a little more research, since it's obvious that I'll need more than just that bracket to attach the lines/hose/junction block assembly to the rear end cover. The original bracket attached to the rest of the components by a c-clip that fit in a groove in the end of the brake hose. This 12-bolt bracket appears to require another bracket/clamp that attaches the the rest of the components which is then bolted to this bracket.
I'll search ebay and inline tube to see if I can find an example of that.

I talked with the guys at Inline Tube and learned that the style of the rear brake hose is different to work with the 12-bolt mounting bracket. The "12-bolt" hose is designed for a bolt to go through the junction block to mount the hose to the bracket, where the "10-bolt" hose is designed to be clipped at the hose-end crimp to the bracket.
So along with the 12-bolt bracket, I ordered a new hose and a bolt.

Goose, I just stole this off of mine and RamZs favorite Chevelle website. I just had to grab it, very cool pic.

That would be it! Except the hose that I received from Inline Tube had a silver hose end (instead of the brass that appears in the picture above), and had a rounded nose instead of being squared off. But the fitment is exactly the same.
I've got it mounted to the rear end now, and just put the rear end back into the car this past weekend, but I'll see if I can get a pic of the installed brake line.

Not quite as pretty as the picture Andy provided, but here's the line setup I got from Inline. The junction block is slightly different... rounded on the end, but fit and function are identical. One thing to note... as always seems to be the case. It turned out that the fitting size going into the new brake hose was one size larger than the original, so I had to use a brass adapter to mate the line and hose where they join at the rear frame cross member. I could have also cut off the old flare fitting and installed an upsized fitting on the 3/16" line, and re-flared the line, but at this point the adapter seems fine.

I noticed that on mine. 99% of all rear lines on domestic cars 1/4 on the rear. The 65s are 3/16 on the rear lines. Just a weird. Your looks good.
