What ever you like.... I have friend who runs a shop restoring nothing but Yenko cars, some of them worth over $1,000,000 and he uses gloss on the entire frame and undercarriage. The judges have never had a problem with it, ever. The original was 60% gloss, I think..............?

Around here, back in the 70s,the 'cool' look was with the rear end jacked way up,and the rear end painted bright orange! Handled like crap, and wore out the front end real quick.meanwhile,us 'uncool' guys stiffened up the suspension, reworked the carb, and kicked a$$ on those other guys! ---bil

Excellent...
So from the consensus I should paint the rear-end semi-gloss orange, the control arms gloss white, and for a finishing touch, jack the ass way up in the air so those that eat my rubber.... er... burn my dust.... er... whatever... can see the barber pole paint job on my driveshaft!
So I think that would qualify me as a bad ass, dumb ass, jack ass.

Even the frame rails on the side look white. No way that shows up if its black. A lot of guys did that back then. The rear in my car had white flaking off it when I got it.
