BR[]... I like the idea of having a section or "sticky" for people to refer to get recommendations or warnings for vendors supplying parts and services. So to be balanced, in addition to the "Shit List", shouldn't we also have a "Good Vendor" list? Or better yet, could we create our own "Vendor Reviews" section, like on Summit, Amazon, Google and so many other websites that allow MEMBERS to grade vendors (1-5 stars), and provide as general or detailed comments about their experience as they'd like?
I don't know if we have the tools on this site to do that, but I think maintaining ratings on vendors, keeping average scores, as well as the individual scores and comments, would be beneficial to us as shoppers, and fair representation of the vendors.

I agree this is something the forum could benefit from. I'm not sure there is even a comprehensive list of vendors that have '65 F85/442 parts.
I wonder if it would be cleaner to have a new category, in addition to the lounge, tech, for sale and rides called Vendors. There could be a thread for each vendor that members have used to source parts and we could discuss experiences with those vendors in that vendors thread.
just a though.
Fusick, YearOne, OPGI, Supercars Unlimited, Modello, Kanter, The Parts Place, Inc, etc.

I agree, I think there are a lot of people could add good vendors to a list like this. You probably would be surprised at how much a list like this would help. Break it down in 5 major sections, body, frame, exterior, interior, and drive line. Some places would overlap and some would be specialty items, all would help the club by learning from other members dealings.

And so how would the process work? Would we use the polling feature to input and track ratings? So someone would start a posting for a particular vendor.... and there would be a poll with 5 choices (rating 1 thru 5) how they would rate that vendor. This would have to be a summary rating I think, as I can't picture how we'd use the polling feature to break it down in more detail to rate individual components such as price, customer service, inventory, quality, technical support, etc. The each person that contibutes their own rating to that same vendor would add to the post... input their summary rating... and then state in their individual post the rating they gave that goes along with their own comments?
Maybe there's another way to do this that would be a bit more detailed/informative... just trying to talk through how this would work.
