I've lost track of the 1/4" pipe / 1/4" nipple brass fitting that screws into the intake manifold that provides the vacuum to the vacuum modulator (I've got a TH400, but I think the fitting was the same for the Jetaway).
I've looked at several auto parts stores here in town, and nobody has one that doesn't require 3 separate fittings to make the connections.
I'm considering using a fitting with a 3/16" nipple, or just tie into the vacuum port on the 750 Holley DP (Pro-form actually) and use a set-up fitting in the vacuum line to adapt from a 3/16" to 1/4" line at the transmission. I know I won't hurt anything, but should I expect some issues by doing that. Only thing I can think of is that the 3/16" source won't be able to draw as much pressure as a 1/4" source would, which would effectively reduce the vacuum the modulator would see.
Thoughts? Am I once again over-thinking the situation?

If you are talking about the fitting on the manifold between the dist. and the carb-I am sure one of us can scare one up. But the vacuum line going to the tranny usually come off the base of the carb. That manifold hookup is for the PCV valve in the driver's side valve cover.

Perhaps what I'm looking for is nowhere near the way it was originally laid out, but then again, this car is nowhere near original.
To supply vacuum to the vacuum modulator, which has a 1/4" nipple, I used a brass elbow with a 1/4" nipple and a 1/4" pipe thread that fit into one of the threaded ports on an intake runner on my Torker manifold. All the other fittings I used had a 3/16" nipple... for the vacuum reservoir on the firewall... and the vacuum advance on the distributor.
Now I really only need two sources... one for the distributor, and one for the vacuum modulator. The carburetor has 2 sources, one ported vacuum, the other manifold vacuum, both with 3/16" nipples. So since I can't find my 1/4" fitting, I'm thinking I can use the ported vacuum source for the distributor, and the other for the manifold source for the modulator. But I'm just not sure if the smaller source will provide proper vacuum to the modulator, or if I will get some sort of erratic operation from the modulator.

Years ago I used an adjustable modulator from B+M that used a allen wrench through the vacuum hole - worked great, as you could 'tailor' your shift points to your vacuum at part throttle. WOT can be adjusted with a weight kit for the governor - kinda like a distributor - change weights and springs!
