just noticed the photos of the head #, what about the photo of the block # 381917? it doesnt look like its the same clean motor as the head shot, could be some gold paint remnants though

those 2 pics of the head and block were not there when i first looked at the add.Maybe because of the early production it had a 64 shifter?

Thats the right shifter for a 4 speed Cutlass.
I wonder what frame is under it. Ron has a 4 speed Cutlass coming soon that may have a 442 frame under it. My friend parted out a 4 speed Sports Coupe a few years ago and it had a 442 frame under it.

The cutlass, verts & club 4 speeds had the tubular saginaw shifter in 65, only the 442's had the flat bar.
NO ONE TO DATE HAS EVER DOCUMENTED A 425 IN A 65. ( The Key Word Being Documented )

bro any thing possible my burg red 65 442 parts car had a 425 in it so there you go ( close you'r eyes and tap your heals together in those pink crocks and you will see it sooner or later
