Assembly manuals are a great resource for many areas during repairs and restorations. They have details on placement of emblems, decals, linkages, etc. If you are restoring a car, buy one.
You can buy AM's at many places like; eBay, Year one, OPG, Parts Place, private auto lit dealers, etc. the list goes on and on. I'm not positive, but all of these are made from a copy of an original file that does have some pages that are hard to read and not of great quality. I'm not aware of a new assembly manual for a 65 442-Cutlass-F85. That said, they are a very valuable tool.
A CSM (chassis service manual) is also a must have when working on our beloved 65's. The only drawback to the CSM is that there is nothing on the 400 engines in the 442. You can get 65 CSM's everywhere as well, they must have printed a gazillion of these because they are for sale everywhere.
Hope that answers your question,

The Cutlass Assembly manual is sold by tons of places, youll need it if you take your car apart. I do know a master year end manual exists that is in great print and its on one page, not front and back like the ones sold today. This manual has all the updates that happened thoughout the year. Ive been working on getting a copy of it.
In the mean time if I ever get enough time I want to scan the Cutlass manual and post it on my site. Might take a while to scan all those pages so dont you wont see it for a few months, if ever!!

Or you can do what some people I know have done and just borrow somebody's car to look at.

What did I say. Did I really deserve that. It's not like I lied-or anything, you have to admit it was handy.
