Already looked at it, its a pile of shit. And they will not come down on the price. No motor, trans, interior is gone, windows are broke, and front end is smashed.

You need to look at the words in the add Ramz, they have changed their tune $1,500 OBO, and Bro has the motor.

Was it originally a 4-speed? Lady i talked to said she had a 400 motor for it.asked her for a pic of the data plate this morning just to see what was up.

Car was/is not a 4-speed. I checked it out a couple weeks ago. Very rough shape. Aftermarket shifter, swivel bucket seats and no console. Crappy chrome wheels, no 'r's. They are not showing pics of ther vert but it looked like they pulled it out of a swamp.
Would the tag say if it was a 4-speed or not?

It is a real 442. I saw the car but neglected to take pics of the cowl tag. When I saw the car the wheel were sunk into the dirt and I couldn't see the frame. It does have the plastic dash and cheap wheel. May have been a 4-speed at one time but now an automatic with a 72 350 in front of it. Needs a LOT of work. Has the wrong shifter, no console no air cleaner, and swivel bucket seats. They initially were trying to sell two cars, the 442 and a ratted out convertible that has a 67 400 but that is no longer part of the deal. The ad says $1500 obo but he's firm on the price and now won't sell the vert. The mud on the rear tires shows how far down it sat.

I was told its been in the family for over 20 years, parked it at least 10 years ago. Uncovered, outside, with the windows down. Take a guess at what the floors look like. Quarters are way gone, doors are rotted, and front end is smashed. Nick said the core support is bent too. No interior, wrong motor, etc. But they want 1500 firm for it. Nick offered on my behalf 750 in person, no ah ah. I then offered a grand and the wife said her husband already turned down a grand.
They are dairy farmers that have it for sale but dont take offers and act like its not for sale.
I think this one is too far gone to fix. Unless a rebody is done to it, and I cant justify spending 1500 on a car just to get the tags to rebody it.
