Anyone know if i can use this wiper motor from 1968 to 1972 olds models www.napaonline.com/part no: RAY 49156 part no: RAY 49142 if you see: You searched for "RAY 49142". Is this for a specific vehicle? PRESS NO and you can see the motors,it´s virtually the same but i´m not sure so maybe have test it........ denis

I checked that out on the site for my NAPA and those numbers didn't come up. Mine came up with 3; 49119, 49120, 49121. All were the square/rectangle type and I don't think they are correct for our cars, they should be the round type that are much harder to find. That said, the square ones will work and having wipers is better than not, right.

The single speed motor is square with no washer pump. The round motor is the two speed washer unit.

The single speed motor is square with no washer pump. The round motor is the two speed washer unit. Yes, originally, but I think there are reman square two speed motors. I got one once when I needed a replacement a bunch of years ago. Can't say definitively, but pretty sure.

i´m not sure if i translate you correct,you say:

...so a 2 speed square one will really work and bolt in the correct position ?

Yes, that's what I'm saying. However, I want to qualify that this was many years ago when I had one, like 30 years ago. The business end of the unit is inside the cowl, what hangs outside in the engine bay doesn't affect the operation of the wipers.

yes, what big mike is saying the big square wiper motor with 2-speeds will work. i have one on mine, wipers work with window squirter's also. i ordered one for a 65 gto SCOTT p.s. i couldn't order one for a 65 olds cutlass or 442.

Looks like it should work just fine. Just make sure your connector looks the same so you can hook up the electrical connector. If it doesn't you can always take the blade pins out of the plastic connector and install them individually, but it should be correct.
