Am I reading the wiring chart correctly, there is no fuse for the headlights? Is it internal to the switch? My headlights tested good, the engine compartment wires tested fine to the bulk head connector. I will try to get into the dash board tonight. No head lights.....

Do you have juice at the headlights? Could be a ground, could be it needs to set a day or two. Then it will work. don't laugh, you spend hours trying to fix it and then one day you'll pull the switch and walla, we have lights Houston.

I tested the lights with a 12 volt source and both high and low beams work. I re-terminated some of the wires and cleaned the grounds. I did a continuity test from the light connectors to the firewall and it is complete (but not a resistance test). So I thought I was good under the hood. Not looking forward to crawling into the dashboard.

Do you have dash lights? When my car came back to life the dash and headlights didnt work. I messed with the headlight switch, pushed it in a hair and they came on. It still does it if I pull it out too far.

No dash lights, but they are controlled by that 8(?) pin ribbon cable right? That is currently not connected. I also have some cut off or bad wires to tail lights. Could that keep the head lights off?
Should have some time tonight to check more.

Don't forget that the dimmer switch on the floor is an integral part of this circuit.

Well, I disconnected the wire connectors from the switch assembly. I can apply power to the light blue wire and I get the headlights on (I can also hit the dimmer switch and the high beams go on and off as well). Made me think I have issues with the switch. Well I broke that trying to remove the plunger and get it out of the dash.
Can I find this on Ebay or somewhere ?
I will try to re-glue the broken parts but I'm not sure how strong that will be.

"Let there be light, and there was light (Bon Scott , AC DC)
Well sort of, Nick was kind enough to dig out a light switch for me and I got a lot of bad wiring corrected. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see the head lamps (high and low) when I pulled the lever. No parking/turn signal light nor dash lights.....but getting closer. I have not started cleaning up the rear end wiring yet.

Park lights are grounded on the bumper, so if they arent installed they wont work.

When I test the light from the connector in the engine compartment they light. I need to track back through the bulk head connector and then to the switch. The bulbs are good for sure.
