Make sure the brake petal rod is going into the booster the same amount as it did into the old master-assuming that you had regular brakes and then added the power booster. Also, when changing from regular brakes to power brakes, you have to put the stirrup/pin at the brake petal into the other hole in the petal arm for proper alignment. I made this mistake myself but figured it out.

Nephew, Who is that?? I know of a red haired stepchild but nephew?? The only thing that I can think of without having access to the vehicle is loosen the master cylinder, see if there is any pressure on it. With the pedal released there should be the slightest gap between the rod and the master cylinder.(in the assembled position) What I do is loosen the master cylinder nuts a little, you should be able to push it with little or no force fluch with the booster, if you can't shorten the rod and try again.

The piece that the brake pedal connects to is too short. You'll have to disconnect the brake pedal and unscrew the piece that makes the pedal depress into the master cylinder/booster. I had to do this with my car when I replaced all the brake system. You should be able to find a 'set-up' dimension on the web somewhere. When I did mine I found a Camaro site that had the info. Do a search on 'converting manual to power brakes' and you should find it.
