Hey Guys, Here are my two cars. I've had the 68 since I was 14, tubbed it about 20 years ago. The 65 I've had for 8 years, doesn't look too much different now. Thanks to all who work to make this forum possible.

Are those homemade wheel covers(caps) or is the whole set up home made.

Nice! The '68 looks mean in black suede. What does the '65 need?Looks like a pretty solid restoration candidate.

Nice cars Rod and nice work on the wheel cover!
maybe a little Govt stimulus should have been sent your way so you can ramp up all your cnc work.....would have been money well spent.

Very neat '65! I like to see cars in that condition, before they are all restored. It shouts history...

The center caps (and wheels) are from a late 70s Delta 88. The inserts are custom. I made a set that were polished for Dave's 65 convertible. As far as what the 65 needs... the list is long which is what prompted me to start making parts. All of my chrome looks like it spent some time at the bottom of Puget Sound (salt water). The rest of the car is fairly rust free. I think this is the pic that BRO is looking for.... SWEET!!

Man I love that black paint on your 68! What kind of paint is that and how hard is it to apply? I have heard that its best to not use basic black primer, but what do you use instead? I would like to do that same look on my 65 Cutlass, and maybe even powder coat all the chrome with a satin silver color to go along with it. I can't afford to get all the chrome re-plated. I think that your car is just so tough looking that I want to have that same style going on for my ride!

The primer is DP90. It's really easy to work with and is really tough. I sprayed it in my garage with the door open on a fairly warm day. (probably not the best idea) As far as the look, I'm with you! I like it because it didn't cost me $5,000 and if I get a chip in it.... Black Sharpie does the trick! If you plan on using this or any Epoxy primer make sure you use an activated charcoal filter (respirator) or better yet a fresh air repertory. This stuff can kill you... This is just after spraying and it's still real shiny. Good luck Rod

Looks good, time to go out and clean the tires a few times.
