My 65 442

Thanks guys, I was hoping to have it done by now as its fishing and camping season. But just cant stay on it. Also the grass is growing an inch a day, etc, etc.... Hope to get this one done by July but that feels aggressive right now.

Posted this earlier and it disappeared but basically ahead of my personnal schedule which is to have this into paint by Feb. Got the gas tank back under and hooked up with period correct gates hoses, connectors and rubber isolators. Also new sending unit. Fenders and doors fit up pretty well with a little shiming here and there. Need new springs for the hinges so ordered tonight. Some touch up in the trunk then the lid can go back on. Basically just a bunch of knick knack pick up from here.

I use mine for the same thing as well and the loading blocks are great for painting bolts, with the price of ammo on the rise I believe the tumbler and blocks will be seeing more use for the intended purchase.

Well she sure don't look the same after a couple weeks of 80 grit! Always an adventure when you actually get down to bare metal. Pretty solid all around, just lots of little pings here and there which take time to get right! Couple more weeks of messaging and primer (I hope)!

Progress really slowed this year as we had a lot of things going on but back in the groove. Finally got all of the body work done, car prepped, blocked and sanded (multiple times) and color on! This baby is straight as an arrow couple more weeks of cutting buffing and touch up and she'll be ready to begin the next phase....

Looking great Brian. Paint is always a milestone, you are almost there now.

Getting her close, lots of hours cutting and buffing. Next is the roof I don't like the semi gloss black under the hood so probably go flat.
