LI is a little place called Long Island, just outside of NYC. Wonderful this time of year.
The frame is solid but has one area of damage that can be fixed. I'll send you a picture or two.

I have a hardtop drivers door and a set of convertible doors. All in good shape. I'll check to see if I have the other passenger hardtop door. Not sure if you can use the convertible door on the hardtop but I think you can, Doors are from holiday coupe and not post sport coupe.

Hey, I need the inside rear view mirror mounting bracket. I also need the pair of convertible top latch assemblies, but I'm on a budget and doubt I can afford them. Let me know how much anyway, and I'll see what I can scrape up.
By the way, Isn't the glass the only difference between hardtop and convertible doors?

Nick - PM?
65rustbucket - I will check the riew mirror mounting bracket and the convertible top latch assemblies, they probably have pits. Would you still want them. I understand, we are all on a budget.

<By the way, Isn't the glass the only difference between hardtop and convertible doors?>Yes, that is correct, the doors are the same, but the glass is not. However, as I'm sure you all are aware, any A-body door glass will work if necessary. According to my Hollander manual, the door glass between a 64 and a 65 is different, but the vents and quarter glass will interchange between years for like body styles, i.e. HT to HT and Conv to Conv.

The glass itself is the same, its the holders that is different. 64s have a pot metal piece that holds the glass, 65s have two pieces of sheet metal that hold it in place.

If you haven't taken pictures of the frame don't bother for me, I already have a frame in the middle of repairs so getting another that needs repairs doesn't shake out. Thanks for the quick reply. Jeff

That's good to know, I was wondering what the difference was because I know the greenhouse on all 64 and 65 A-bodies should be the same across makes. Some will have a slightly different back glass, but others are the same for all glass.

Pits are fine. I don't mind the condition as long as they aren't actually broken/unusable. Because of the budget factor, I've had to buy a lot of less-than-good-quality parts and repair/restore them myself(that's all part of the fun anyway, right?) As for the mirror mount I just want to confirm that it must be for a convertible(I tried one from a hardtop, and found that they are different). Also, thanks for the reply!
