397328 308/308, 82 overlap, 1966-67 W30 (all) 402569 328/328, 108 overlap, 1968-69 W30 (all), 1970 W30 manual trans 400165 285/287, 57 overlap, 1970 W30 automatic trans (all), 1971 W30 AT with A/C 409691 286/287, 61 overlap, 1971 W30 AT without A/C, 1972 W30 AT 409759 294/296, 68 overlap, 1971-72 W30 MT

I doubt the cam is the problem. What's the idle speed? What's the initial timing? What carb? How is the alternator wired (you might need a diode to prevent backfeeding the ignition). AT or MT?
