So it's been a busy summer to say the least, the wife has been living up North and I spent a lot of time commuting every other weekend with truck loads of shit. As of 11-24 I'm supposedly only working three days a week and enjoying semi retirement. We will see how it all turns out, I went from a 24 x 36 non heated garage to a 30 x 70 heated Pole Barn, and I still don't have any room. Sold the old house to my son and there is still lots of shit left there, have to do some organizing and selling of crap I really don't need but it's coming along, hopefully pretty soon the convertible build will start back up. The sports coupe is enjoying a warmer winter home for now, (until I get some electric and gas bills) LOL, can't win any way you try sometimes.

Congratulations!
I recently moved into a bigger home/garage I still feel my garage is smaller even though itβs not been here 2 years and finally made some progress on organizing it. Granted I feel I did add two more projects lol

Glad to hear you're getting up north to your dream garage, Jeffy. The vert's been waiting a long time that garage space. Enjoy Buddy....

Congratulations. Now, as I found in retirement, you will find that the best pass-time is learning to "Ski". That is short for "Spending Kid's Inheritance"! Fill that dream garage with everything you ever wanted, they can make their own money.

I still work 3 or so days a week, been good so far, still getting used to not setting an alarm but I still get up at 5 or so. Actually that's ok, the wife doesn't roll over till around ten so I get 4 or 5 hours of personal time every morning.

I've have to figure out how to convince the wife of that, not that she wants to save it for the kids but more like when were 80 we'll need that money, um, 80, what save the money for when I can't walk anymore??

I'm a very Lucky guy. "Skiing" was my wife's idea, I just stole it! I had a British friend who said "Live life to the fullest, and die penniless. Screw the Wankers". He was right. The kids are grown, they have their own careers, and are making their own money. Enjoy what you worked for, you deserve it.

I just have to convince the wife we need to enjoy ourselves while we can and not fret on saving our money for when we get old. LOL

I just learned a lesson managing my brother's estate. He lived his last years bitching and complaining about his miserable impoverished retirement years, driving a 10 year old mini-van, and how he couldn't afford to enjoy himself, travel or fix up his house. He then died from lung cancer, and left several hundred thousand in an estate, with no children to inherit. All of his money went to the children of his friends, and distant cousins who never met him and wouldn't know him if they tripped over the body, but he named as heirs so he would have a legacy. We plan for how long we will reasonably live, and enjoy life within reason. My wife says we started slowly with cross country Skiing, but now as we age, we have progressed to the high speed Downhill Course. Best wishes for your future, and the holidays.

Very telling story, I totally agree, on something completely different one thing we have both found out since we're out here doing our thing is where did all the muscle mass go, my goodness. Putting brakes and ball joints on my f250 and my god I about busted a nut getting the damn roters off. Might possibly have to look for a exercise unit on marketplace to try to regain some of our strength back. LOL, oh well, such is life.

Very nice spread! Looks great congrats! You never said where you lived...and where you moved to? Not sure I could ever move up north again.
Island65Cruiser...So are you saying we should all get a reverse mortgage after 75? Serious question. I'd like to spend my last dime the day before I die. -peter
