The front passenger side window has gone from a little difficult to crank up or down to now being very difficult. I have pulled the trim off to see if anything was obviously wrong or broken...but nothing jumped out at me as being the culprit. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone else run into this same issue? Should I try lubricating things with some silicone spray? Thank you in advance for your ideas.

Silicone is a dirty word in the body shop world..... Just guessing, maybe some bad rollers on the regulator. Or, the pins they're on could be corroded. certainly some lub of some kind might help. But, I wouldn't use silicone.

Silicone is the only lubricant you should use on plastic window rollers. Petroleum-based lubricants will eventually attack the plastic. I use silicone grease in a tube, not spray. This isn't a body shop.

Wonder what type of silicone they used in 1965 that was brown in color on the ones I've recently had apart?

What's your point? They used bias ply tires and tiny drum brakes also. Technology has improved with time.
