I live in southern Maryland (about 25 miles south of DC) and I am looking for a recommendation to get some help with my A/C. I purchased my 1965 442 convertible back in 2015. The previous owner had trouble getting it to work correctly and ended up having someone install a toggle switch to get the compressor to turn off and on. While it does work, I would prefer to have it fixed and operate correctly. Does anybody know of anyone within maybe a couple hour drive that could help return my A/C to correct working order? Thank you.

I'm not a 100% sure on this, but you'll probably have to get the heater control unit in the dash worked on. When it's switched to A/C it's not telling the compressor to run. So someone just put a hot wire to it to turn on and off.

there is a set of points on the back of the heater/ac controls that are closed when you move to a/c position,i would start there.they might not have known about them and by-passed with a toggle
