Hey guys, I paid 3.09 a gallon for Premium gas today, maybe everybody is putting their 442's in mothballs for the next four years cause they won't be able to afford to drive them and tell us about what they are doing with their cars? The more they scream climate change, they more I'm driving the Olds as a "peaceful protest".

wow...3.09 a gallon...I wish that's all I paid for a gallon of premium...more like 3.69 a gallon where I am and sometimes getting close to 4.00 or better especially every time one of the refineries has a hiccup or they change from the summer formula to winter or vice versa... just been slowly working on my 442...engine done, trans done, most suspension parts redone and painted...redoing the seats now...new springs for the buckets, paint and upholstery...gotta finish trunk floor pan...then onto the chassis, paint and body by somebody else... Seems like these days all I do is hold the old wallet open and watch the $$$$$$ fly out...whine, whine, hey somebody pass the cheese....

I guess I should have mentioned that Premium was 2.84 in December. It's not the amount that's surprising, but the rapid move upward. We've had really low gas prices here in Florida over the last few years. Our gas/road taxes are pretty reasonable. Still, rising prices limit fun driving for many.

Yeah, if we live long enough, we'll be buying GM electric crate motors to put in our cars, playing engine and exhaust noises on the stereo for effect!

I can see it now, speakers in front broadcasting engine noise, speakers in back broadcasting coordinated exhaust notes as you accelerate, and a thousand pounds of batteries in the trunk. You'll have gobs of torque to do wheelies from every traffic light in the mile and a half before your batteries die. But, we will be green! I'll eat my gun before I buy into that crap.

So if I understand this correctly........ We do away with fossil fuels to lower the air pollution and increase noise pollution, by letting everyone have their own distinctive engine or whatever noise. Mini's with diesel truck noise, tractor trailers playing "My Little Pony". I get happier every day knowing I'm not too far from checking out of this madness, but I can't imagine what STUPIDITY the kids are going to have to put up with.

There's a white elephant in America that sooner or later we will have to discuss what we are willing to do about it. This country is too great to ignore it!

It's not a white elephant, it's a Donkey. As a 1930's politician once said, "If America ever turns to Fascism, it will be under the guise of Anti-Fascism"

I would start hording fuel, but it takes a lot more space than Ammo, and doesn't stay stable as long. What to do, what to do? Maybe we should save up enough ammo to be able to ensure that we have an ample supply of fuel in the future. That might work! Remember, we have an ass deciding our fate who rode the train to work for 40 years. The real irony is that he owns a big block C3 Vette. Bet he's not giving that ride up for a Prius, and he'll have plenty of high test available for as long as he lives. Thank God we won't get cancelled for speaking the truth on this site.

Yes it is the donkey not the elephant in the room that we will have to deal with sooner or later. How can we stop them? I don't know. I only know that we must or we will become cheap and disposable labor to the corrupt and greedy elite pulling the strings.

I think the first thing is somebody must figure out how to make the media tell the whole truth for everything, after that I would imagine the rest should be easy.

I have always felt that the news reports should have a video in screen of a voice stress analyzer (lie detector) whenever a politician is on TV, so we can watch the needle bounce when they talk. The other thing that would be great is to require every news site to at least show the headlines of competing media, so if they are not reporting something you will know to visit their competition. Force the scumbags to be honest. I worked for Uncle Sam in DC for four years. Never met a bigger bunch of backstabbing, self important, elitist "Alpha Hotels" than the political class. They have no concept of how the rest of us live in this country, and what we contribute to society. They want to take away our cars, but keep flying around in their private jets.
