This may not be the right place to create this thread but since it is for a 69 cutlass and not a 64 or 65 I will give it a shot,
My sons Ac compressor started smoking on the freeway so he stopped and removed the belt and made it home...after looking at the compressor I can see that the pigtail is melted and will need replacing...also it appears that the compressor clutch is coming apart, compressor turns fine and so does the pulley...pulley bearing feels a little rough so thought I would replace the pigtail, clutch, coil, pulley and belt...problem is that I cant seem to find any info on his compressor...it is a Frigidaire model 5910698, says Oldsmobile on the tag...everything I find is for AC Delco for his year...anyone know about the Frigidaire compressor and if any parts are available for them and where? thanks in advance...sorry for the off year question but figured one of you guys may have dealt with this before...

The original compressor for your car is an A6. Frigidaire brand became AC Delco when GM consolidated brands. Frankly, I'd get a whole new compressor after half a century.

thanks for the response Joe...I figured something like that...so I guess our only option is to replace the compressor unless I can find parts for the Frigidaire, or are any of the parts such as the coil, pulley and clutch interchangeable?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. An A6 compressor is an A6 compressor, no matter what brand name is on it. Parts are the same.
