I just acquired a 64 F85 Club Coupe from the family of the original owner who unfortunately passed away last November. The car was located just 1/2 mile from my house. The original owner purchased the car on November 19, 1963 in Queens NY. I have the original bill of sale, protecto plate, and owners manual.
It's a V6 3 speed stick car, burgundy paint with a red interior. The options listed on the bill of sale include white wall tires, padded dash, undercoating, paint glaze, deluxe radio. rear window defroster, and an outside rear view mirror. The price was $2300 with $92 tax. The car also has power steering but that may have been added at some time.
The car has been sitting in the garage since 1980 but has always been registered and insured since new. It sports its original worlds fair plate which is still in nice shape. The car is a project and will need to be gone through top to bottom to make it road worthy. I'm not sure what I'll do with it since I have the 65's but it would make a nice driver / survivor car or being a post club coupe it would make a nice 442 tribute car. I have a 4 speed and a high compression 330 and everything that would be needed.
The car comes with a spare v 6 motor, 3 speed stick trans, and various other parts. The best of the parts are a pair of NOS bumpers, front and rear, wrapped in the original GM paper with the dated tags and part numbers. I have not unwrapped the bumpers totally but from what I can see they look very nice.
If someone out there is doing a high end 64 restoration and interested in the bumpers give me a call or a PM. I don't think there are many NOS 64 bumpers out there.
