Nice to see another fellow Cannuck come into this '65 442 fraternity. Interesting to see a convertible converted into a "pro - street" car. From the ass end she's sure a wild looking machine. As a little aside to Stan's comment I have spoken to the owners of three hardtops that were imported when new into Canada. Two of these cars I had gone to check out when they came up for sale in later years. One was ordered by a female doctor in Welland, Ontario. This car was sold locally to a gentleman in the Niagara region and I had the option of becoming the third owner but I declined and the car went to Barrie, Ontario. Another'65 442 was ordered by Parklane Motors in Sarnia, Ontario and owned for a brief time by the dealership's son. Last summer I was able to trace the whereabouts of this car and found it in a garage in Sarnia getting ready for a full restoration. Interestingly, the car had a 425 in it and my heart was in my mouth when I asked the original owner if it had come from Lansing that way. ( A lot of you know what I was trying to get at ) He said that the original motor was a 400 but he blew it up during his first year of driving it and what I was looking at was a replacement motor. Shucks!! I here thought I was going to uncover some proof that some of the early 442's in '65 came with 425's. Oh well!!!
