I cross-checked it with the Pontiacs, sorry, and they call it Blue Charcoal.

I don't ever remember seeing nocturne mist or even hearing of it. Oh yes, there was a Nocturne Mist, I've only ever seen one, now two with the picture of the car at the track. Take a look at a dealer book, they have a sample in the color selector. The color I really love and is fairly rare as well is Royal Mist, a beautiful midnight blue metallic. I saw a Cutlass convertible at a show in Royal Mist with a white interior and top, just gorgeous. Big Mike bigmikes442.com
The dragstrip car is Turquoise, I think. ;D
The 65 is in Nocturne Mist. The 68 may be a Turquoise Mist, but the 65 is most definitely Nocturne. Big Mike bigmikes442.com

The 68 was called Ocean Mist in 65. The 65 in the pic is Turquoise Mist, notice the green hue to it. The GTO I posted is Nocturne Mist, no green at all.

I beg to differ with you, that 65 is in Nocturne Mist. If you were looking at the dealer book I'm looking at, it looks like a Nocturne Mist. I agree that the Turquoise Mist does have a more green hue to it, but that 65 is in Nocturne. If you compare the 65 at the strip with the pic of the GTO, it is clearly a darker more gray color. If a real Turquoise Mist car was in a very sunlit day like that car is, it would look closer to the 68 than the GTO. Big Mike

The GTO is Nocturne Mist, Blue Charcoal as its called by Pontiac. This 65 is Nocturne Mist. No green at all in it. I verified a Ocean Mist vert thats the same color of the 68 Ram Rod in the pic. I know the owner of the 68 and he said the 65 in the pic is a very deep shade of green, no where near the color of his 68. The dealer books and the paint chips dont show the real colors of the cars. Check this out and tell me if you can tell what color Nocturne really is. PPG chart
