Hello everyone,
I purchased this 1965 F85 about a week ago and I'm planning on restoring it, this is my 1st big project like this. This particular car is 1 of 7,720 standard F85's produced in 1965, it has a 330 2bbl V8 with the 2 speed jetway auto trans. Sadly the car isn't in that great of shape but it does run and drive. The entire rear portion of the car suffers from extensive rust damage and I'm not quite sure how I'm going to tackle that yet since reproduction rear quarter panels don't exist for a '65. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how I can fix some of these body issues, rear quarters are rotten, lower front driver side fender is rotten near the door, floor and trunk pans are rotten, the doors are rotten where the door handles mount up, doors are rotted on the bottom near the quarter panels and the section of metal above the rear bumper is rotten as well.
My plan is to make the car look nice, not a full on show car restoration, just a nice looking driver. I'm going to keep the motor and trans in it as long as possible but I've been thinking about dropping in a mildly built 455 olds with a th400 trans.

Shane- my frame is good from what I can see, won't know more until I get the body apart an off of it. The rockers are solid as well. If you can email some pictures of your parts at Patrick.rigdon91@gmail.com that would be great, I live in Dayton Ohio so if they're what I need coming to get them wouldn't be a problem.

Take your time I'm in no rush, I'm pretty sure I'll find more body issues when I take the car apart.
