I need to replace the windshield wiper/washer switch on my 65 Cutlass. OPGI has them and I ordered one for a one speed wiper. It came with two terminals. The one that came apart, that I think was original had three. However the guy that had the car before me may have replaced the washer/wiper motor assembly. The connection that went to the switch only contacted two of the terminals. I found out that a 2-speed wiper was an option over the one speed. This means that the car may have had a two speed set up but when it got replaced, a one speed unit was put in. So, is there anyone who could tell me, by looking at the motor assembly and wire hook up whether it is a one or two speed wiper. I would like to put in the proper switch. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The picture I took is too large(to many MB or whatever) I will try another camera. However, after looking through the service manual on the descriptions of one and two speed units. According to the manual square motors are one speed and the two speeds are round. I think mine is a two speed system. The motor is round and has the number "7" on it. Also the car has a three prong switch. I located a NOS two-speed switch. I will get the photo. Tom

Hopefully the picture is in this reply. What I did was find a NOS 2 speed switch and it fits fine, except for the connections but I can work around that. I still have the old switch. The back came off it. This is a learning process for me and I am also learning that some of the switches will interchange and that just because (for example) the assembly manual shows a certain switch being put in the car (example in my car the fan blower motor switch)doesn't mean that one was installed. Mine is a square type switch verses a round one. It sort of looks like one out of a 67 or 69 but it works. At this point I just want it to work!! Thanks for the help! Tom in MO.

If your switch looks like this one it's a 1 speed switch with the sprayers

Your picture isn't available for viewing. Do you have any idea what the part number is or where you were able to find the 2 speed switch with washer feature??
Thanks,
