I say all 65s should sit level or a tad higher in the rear.

I knew this would come, just let it be known that when the KID says drag on the ground he is referring to stock stance.

Well.... I had to put the air in the back so I could run the bigger tires(275s), but that's pretty mild. Look @ the Aug car for an idea of how much. Ralph

When I bouhgt my first '65 back in '69 from the Olds dealer, it sat level, I have however set mine up to be higher in the rear. Mine is going to be lowered about 2 inches so the top of the tire is just visible below the wheel opening chrome. This will rerquire the concealment of the front spring hanger and a taller/wider tire. Then It will be right on for appearance. It's all a matter of personaizing your 442. I think those of us who grew up in the '60-'70's were exposed to the Guru's of Muscle Cars, from them we acquired our likes and dislikes. I remember most cars having big tires and sitting higher in the rear.....that's was the go fast look.

I thought we were referring to a standing still orientation.......all front wheels should be off the ground when the need arises for sure. Wonder if I could pull the wheels when pulling my RV...just a thought. HUMOR

The lower the better, faster weight distribution, bumper on the ground falls into that category. A+

Ok ...if you insist.
From the factory they all sat like Granny Grundy's grogery grabber. So if you insist on being politically correct, slam the whole damn thing on the ground amigo.
If you want it to look like a muscle car, raise the whole car a few inches and a slightly higher rear end (and I mean slightly) makes it look ready to pounce.
Inevitably... it's your decision. If you like it up, raise it. If you like it down lower it. If you can't make up your own mind, seek professional help. I don't mean automotive, but rather psycological.
Now aren't you glad you asked for my 2 cents.

There's always more than one way to lower your rear end!

I'm glad the 442 doesn't have springs (well most anyways) because you would be one of those people driving around with the 6 inch spring shackles, OMG, you must of lost all of your street races with that piss poor notion that that a little higher is better. Oh, BTW the picture is nice but we know two things, your ugly ass wouldn't attract such a nice piece and if by chance you did your wife would Beat Your Ass black and blue. Oh, btw how the hell are you doing porkchop. ;D

I like this........... I leave you alone and let the kid have his fun.......and then who do you pick on. poor little ole' me. Looooose on the street, I don't think so. If you lived down my way, I would have had your money or your title too. Ever hear of 90/10 shocks. They put the weight where I needed it, but that's ok Chico, roll with that low rider. The traction weight is supposed to be transfered to the rear two wheels NOT the left two.

Rides nice and level when it torques over. Don't bet too much money on those 90/10 shocks porkchop but do what you must. And we all have to have some fun, the Kid needs more cause he's board, he ain't got no toys that need work.
