Grrrrrrr!!!!!! I just got word that the Olds probably wouldn't be recognized as a classic car (has to be virtually original, at least outwardly) unless I take off the Hooker headers. >: (Anyone have a set of stock headers? Will I need a different down pipe? The present system is 2-1/2 in. Thanx in advance 4 any help! HELP, HELP!!! Ralph

that sucks i would leave the 2-1/2" exhaust on it and maybe get a set of those thorton aftermarket exhaust manifolds... they have all of the correct factory markings and look factory, but they are opened up and flow more like headers. these were created for pure stock drag racing classes where everything has to be "original". and yes, you will need 2-1/2" factory style down pipes. hope this helps. sorry for your luck.

Just found out that the headers won't affect classifying it as a classic. Word is "can't imagine a policeman that has even the slightest idea of what is stock or original on that car". Obviously true, since, to the best of my knowledge, it's the only one in Europe! So, I get to keep the headers & Thrustmasters! Ralph
