Never be afraid to be over the top. Although it may be difficult to hide the scoop from the blower. It's good to have fun with your toys.
You may want to consider boxing the frame.

You're right...never can do too much. I figured if the day were to ever come that I do a frame off restoration I would get an after market frame that is already boxed and mini-tubbed then build from there....
That day may come sooner then I think if this frame twists on me. My guess is the only thing that would prevent that from happening is the limited size tires that will fit in the stock wheel well .....this beast will never hook up. I'll blow the tires off of this thing before something brakes. So I hope ;D

here is pic of the motor in... still have a lot to do in terms of final hook up. Cooling System, Fuel Lines, Linkage, Dist, plug wires, etc. But I was able to stuff this monster in the car using chevelle motor mounts, Chevelle headers and BBC Z bar for tranny linkage.

No stock fan going on there!! I am sure with the HP that you are going to produce, the frame will twist if you hook up. A full cage is going to be needed.
