It`s like Big Mike said, it` a matter of personal taste. To me it looks like wearing tennis shoes with a tuxedo. Best leave the dog dish caps to the chrome-less coupes.

I thought we had this chicken dish discussion with Z's car before......... TP has a beautiful HC, but the Chicken dish's are for std cps and even then a nice set of wheels are sooooo much nicer.

Tim's one of my best budd's, and I know he just want's to get his car judged a few times after all his hard work and money he spent on his ride, after he gets that out of his system I'm confident he'll have a nice set of wheels on it.

Tim, when you're finished with the Dog Dishes, how about considering a set of 15" Cragars , eh,_ they would set off that beautiful, black paint!!!!!

I'll offer my two cents worth. I really like the poverty caps WITH the red line tires!!! I was going to use those on my buggy before I decided to make a custom of it....I think it's a real old school muscle car look. That being said, the only different thing I would have done is use 7 inch wheels on the front and 8 inch on the rear, but then I wasn't interested in making mine look original, and I like the look of "lotsa tire" under them. Looks great, tho!

Holy crap, the dog dish caps look PERFECT on your car. And honestly, RAMZ's red 442 pictured with the dog dishes and red lines is the BEST pic of a '65 442 I've EVER seen so far, anywhere. That looks exactly right.
There is only TWO things me and BR[] disagree on about: Poverty caps and politics. Rims, mags, etc., date the car. And they make it feel like nothing is hidden, everything is there. But original steel wheels, correct 14" bias plies and dog dishes look like, "Wait a minute...what's under that hood?" to me. They make me feel the same excitement when I find a rare project car, where I get jittery and amazed at finding such a time capsule.
Dang that red 442 looks amazing in that picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the 65 dog dish hub caps were one year only? I know the 64's were for sure.
