Well.....just enough. These were new tires with about 20 miles on them by the time I made it to that show. 30 seconds later and....

I've been packing the miles on and trying to get the 65 ready for this cruise in & show season. Took the hood off this past weekend to paint the underside and blast/paint the hinges. To me it makes a huge difference. It was all covered in overspray. Made a trip out to Classic Olds today and grabbed some under hood insulation and some new emblems for the center caps.

Thanks BRO!!!
robski, it's not the wine, those hoses are funky. Right out of the pump the pressure hose takes a 90deg bend towards the fender, then another 90deg bend towards the firewall. I believe they were listed for a 68 Cutlass. I am not a fan of that hose at all. If someone knows a year that has a 180deg bend out of the pump I would appreciate it. I really don't want to stress a pre bent line by bending it completely in the opposite direction, then subjecting it to constant vibration, temperature changes, and a high pressure flammable fluid aimed directly at a header.

Little update. I had to stop and get new back tires on the way to the AutoFair 2 weeks ago. With the trunk and car loaded it was just enough to slightly rub the sidewall of the 275's on a bump. And it got worse, and worse, and worse. I gave up on big tires and stepped back down to a 255/60 and I can load the car down and use it like it was meant to be used. Stepping down in overall height meant higher rpm's while driving. Today Dad and I swapped out the 3.89 gears for a set of 3.18's. I love the new gears. I can now hit the interstate without the engine running at 3,500rpm's. Check out this set up! We did remove the pump before install. There is a show coming up this next Saturday that is 3 hours away. I plan on making the drive, running the car (1/8th mile track) and driving back home. Can't friggin' wait!

6 new sets of seat belts today. The car did come with 2 front, but I have 3 kids and one on the way. Not quite as good as shoulder belts and side air bags, but better than nothing lol. And a thanks goes out to RAM Z (TK-65)who posted pictures on one of the other sites of where the factory dimples were located to install the belts. I knew what I was looking for before popping the seat.

That was last month. I took the car down to ShadySide for steel in motion. Any decent shows in your area without having to do Pigeon Forge?

I really need to upgrade the front suspension of my car before hitting that event. It has drag springs and 90/10 shocks up front right now. Rallye, I don't have a public gallery, but I'll try and post a few interior shots. I just finished a stereo install.....let me know what you guys think. For whatever reason I just couldn't bring myself to cut the dash for a modern din stereo. The aftermarket replacement stereo was absolute fucking junk so I put the factory radio back in the dash. I used a NOS 68 Mustang radio bezel for the new stereo. Take it easy on the floormats guys, they are there temporarily until I can find something that I like ;D
