Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to recall that 900$ does not include the glove box. It's nice but I could not justified it being mine is a mild custom anyhow. The local shop recovered mine for 300$ turned fairly nice for the price. There is thread here somewhere that discussed if the 66dash will fit or not. The 66 is now offered as a repop. I think some one said the holes don't line up with the 65 and maybe the glove box would not line up perfect either.

You can pick up a new 66 dash pad around $300.00 they are very similar to the 65 but they are a bit different . I was told if you use a 66 pad you also have to use a 66 glove box door. That's what I was leaning towards doing. Just dashes can price them self out of business as far as I'm concerned.

I you have not done so already, I would recommend placing POR-15 or some other brand of rust inhibitor on the floor to avoid future rust issues. One pint of POR-15 will do the entire floor pan. Runs around $30 and comes in several different colors. Like others on this board, I wish my progress was that switft. Looks great.

I am going to order exhaust monday, I really like the magnaflow sound so thats what i am leaning towards. The big question is who makes a nice fitting header that wont hang to low, and should i run 2-1/2 or 3" exhaust???

Who's speaker are you using, where did you find it, does it fit well and hows it sound? It's a brand called Retrosound. I have seen them in the Crutchfield magazine. Looks like he is using Model R-410N. Also curious how it sounds when the car is traveling at highway speeds.

I feel the same, that is just insane to price a dash resto for 900.00, I found another place that will do the same process for 675.00 but I still will not pay that. How close of a fit is the 66 dash? ?

You really didn't think you were NOT going to have to fuck with the trunk pan and the inner wheel housings did you, I mean it's like a right of passage or some shit. Look at the pictures below. Everybody has to do it!!!
