I put the '65 Cutlass Post up on the lift for a brake job to make it road worthy again after 9 years of being parked because of bad brakes. I was putting on air shocks and looked up to notice the extra holes for the upper control arms! I cleaned up the side rail and sure enough there was the HD 442 frame part number. So here is an example of a Fremont Cutlass that came with a HD frame, first time I've run across this. I am sure the frame wasn't changed since I know most of the history of the car and it was completely stock when I bought it years ago and wasn't owned by hot rodding muscle car type people. It did not have the 442 front or rear sway bars nor the boxed control arms. And to make it even more strange I found the axle code and it is a YF 1965 GTO 3:23 posi unit. Now what to do with the 442 frame I bought to put on this car??
