I know Bro placed them on his shit list, but I have nothing but good things to say about them. For me, ordering the whole system was the only way to go. I did not want to buy one piece from one guy, another piece from another guy, and mufflers from another place. I wanted front to back, guaranteed fit! And that is what I received.
And since I drove to the shop to pick up my system, I was able to meet the father/son team and they could not have been any nicer, nor any more helpful. They met me on a Saturday, and they are not open an Saturdays (saved me a vacation day).
And when I added up pricing from doing it other ways price was not really an issue. I did not order the concourse package (extra $150), which included rust free hangers with the identical "button" design that GM made. Any look at the bottom of my car and gleaming brackets was of no interest.
Thumbs way up from me.

If I should need any single part or parts, they will gladly sell me what I need. Once you buy a system from them, you can get a replacement part, including a tail pipe.

Just an FYI. I bought the tailpipes a few months ago after a 20 minute phone conversation with the guys. Explained to them I am an exhaust shop and I already bought an entire kit but wanted to do a "Real" set of tailpipes. Maybe it was because I am THE coolest one out here, maybe because I am in the trade. Not sure, but I got them.
I looked into the actual cost of the mufflers, midpipes, and hangers. I can actually do it myself for around $50 in materials and parts, not the tailpipes. I looked very hard at the tips. They did their homework on the tooling. Still havent figured out how they roll the stainless over the edge without cracking them, but that is why they are so good in the market they are in.

$50 in parts for everything but the tail pipes? Most places get $40-50 just for the tail pipe hangers. It's good to be in the business.

You just have to be good with the bender. I am not. I get by, but it takes me an hour just to do a couple of mid pipes. The cool thing about being in the trade is 2.5 inch seamless aluminized pipe is $.90 a foot.

have had both and perfer Walts due the stainless tip wraping around to the inside of the pipe like factory. After only a little time the gardner rusts at the very end of the pipe and look like Sh## I now hit it with high temp silver about once a month.

Lst month I drove up to the Gardner shop to pick up a complete exhaust system for my 65 Club Coupe. Super nice guys, Eric and his Dad. They gave me the tour of the place and showed me their collection of muscle cars, 69 Camaro, 70 Super Bee, 2 70 Buick GS's and a 69 AMC Scrambler with two four barrels. All very nice cars.
High quality system, I chose Gardener because I needed the complete system. This is the second system I purchased from them, the first was for my Verte 5 years back. I have three cars so I was going to purchase a third system when I was lucky enough to find a very nice factory used set of tail pipes and head pipes for very little money.
If you need a full system, have the money and want the original chambered pipes, Gardner is the only place to get them. If you just need and want the tail pipes then Walt is the man.
