Thanks Keener.

POP has a dealer code of 24-065. This code is also written on the inside of the front cover with a delivery date of 4/28/64. The delivery date is also stamped on the POP.

Damn, you're right, that dash and steering wheel are awesome on that parts car, what a great deal. Should be a easy resto, way to go.
That 442 is interesting that it has A/C, but manual brakes. It looks like it has power steering, does it?
Great buys all the way around. The car has power steering but no reservoir or pulley..no worries though, the parts car has those items.

I tried the link that Bro posted but it went to a site for creating your own web page. You can go to Bro's site and look at the "Is it a clone" section...he has pics fo the driver rear frame rail. Look to the left and right of the exhuast hanger. I have found the numbers in both places. The 442 was stamped to the right side of the exhaust hanger (towards the back of the car). My frame is coated in a rubberized material ;D ;D so all I had to do was scrape it away with a razor blade.

talked with the owner of the olds dealership where the car was bought back in '64. He does not think he has any documents but will take a look. He actually called the guy i bought the car from last year wanting to buy the engine, air cleaner. he offered $1500...sounds like the story the seller told me. Anyway, this dealer bought a '64 442 at barret awhile back but the engine ws wrong. Told him to find any old '64 block coded 381917 with #1 heads, coded "T" and ends with "G". Sure the cam may not be the performance one placed at the factory but unless the car has only 20K miles it is unlikely to have an original Cam to begin with.
