Gardner Exhaust will only sell a complete (front to rear + mufflers, clamps & hangers) exhaust system. They absolutely refuse to sell any part separately. Way too arrogant for me. And for that reason I think they are total assholes and wouldn't do any business with them' Quote from HotRod "After only a little time the gardner rusts at the very end of the pipe and look like Sh##"

OPGI - most of the stuff they list for 65 442 doesn't fit or is wrong, customer support people aren't very bright either. Mondello sometimes is a close second but maybe it's just me.

Mondello, That's a second for me, unless you want something generic they have that will fit almost any olds engine, go somewhere else.

OPGI: never trust that they will call you when you order one of their numerous back ordered parts. I waited for a blinker switch for over one month, then found out after calling that it had been there for two weeks. Also, like Brian said, half of their parts do not fit right, especially the small interior stuff.
BAP (Brothers Automotive Products) located in Kansas: They continuously told me parts were sent but could never provide a tracking number. Why you ask? Because they carry ZERO inventory. How is that possible? Well, these guys simply work as the middleman for wholesalers. If you order seat covers they get it from PUI. If you order carpet, they order it from Trim Parts. So, the tracking numbers can only come from the people they order from which is why you never receive a tracking number. I had seat springs show up from Texas whitout a packing slip or any other identifier (returning would nearly be impossible....luckily it worked). I ordered some seat trim buttons that never showed up. I called at least 5 times and was always told things were on the way............bullsh**!!

I love how OPGI doesn't describe their parts correctly. I wish there was an Ames Performance Engineering for Oldsmobile. Ames is the Pontiac guys that describe their parts AND availability accurately, even telling if a part is crappy.

Remanufactured.com - having worked there a couple weeks until I realized their main objective was to RIP PEOPLE OFF! ON EVERYTHING!! Would NOT let me re-surface valve grinding stones - "they're too expensive!!" They keep moving so as not to get caught!

U.S.A. Parts Supply LTD
Most of the parts shipped out were wrong. they forgot to put my order through for the rest of the parts.
Service while ordering sucked. Service while returning and cancelling my order was great. They must have lots of practice.

BAP gets a dual set of fingers. Not only do they lie like keenar said as I went through almost the exact same problem as him, they also like to call you and leave voice mail messages at 4 AM 2 years after the fact and threaten you with lawsuits when you talk bad about them, saying that never happened and claiming they're owned by a group of attorneys, gonna make a man out of you and change your life as you know it. But when they get pushed back, they tuck tail and run. Look them up on www.ripoffreport.com.

When the company was located just a few miles from here I used to go to their counter and get parts. I will say, there is one salesmen that does have the attitude that he doesn't care whether you buy parts from him or not, with a NEXT attitude. But there is always one in every parts store I have ever dealt with, restoration parts or otherwise. USA Parts has also been a great sponsor for our annual show when they were local and when they moved to WV. We can always count on them for catalogs to use as give-aways and for a coupon or two to use as door prizes.

OPGI Window felts, good lord how hard can it be. OPGI tells me that they have been discontinued due to the manufacturer having issues. I called the manufacturer and they said absolutly not, they knew both types for 65, they had in depth info about size, the chrome bead, and even gave me a part number for my car which didnt have the top door chrome trim, when I asked them where I would buy then they told me OPGI just ordered several sets and they arrived at OPGI the previous week. I called OPGI back and even gave them the part number. I was told they didnt recognize the part number. I called the manufacturer back again told them what OPGI told me, they were amazed and gave me OPGI's sku number, order number and product discreption. I salled OPGI again, gave them all the info and even the date they recieved the parts, again umm ugh well umm we pulled all of those off the shelf due to boxing issues. I asked them if they could just have them drop shipped from the manufacturer, then i get told again those are discontinued. I call the manufacturer AGAIN, beg for them to sell me direct, they wont, they told me to call OPGI and tell them I need this part number shipped direct and they would send them free frt right to me. I call OPGI AGAIN GRRRRRRRRRRR and again we dont know what you are being told but those arent being produced right now due to molding issues HELL I GIVE UP

Quick Performance
I got my 9" housing from them. They were supposed to narrow it and they didnt. It was supposed to have new big bearing GM flanges on it, and there are used big bearing Ford flanges on it with worn oversized bearing bores. I had to cut off and reweld the upper control arm mounts as they were crooked. i had to heat up the one lower control arm mount with a torch and bend it back into shape as it was about 3/8" too wide. Most of the welds looked like a turkey flew over and sh*t on it. Needless to say, I was very unhappy with it, and I still am bitter about it. If you want something done right, do it yourself... or in this case, buy a Moser.
