1965 442 Holiday - Factory A/C car, Power brakes, power steering. Car was originally column shift, converted it to floor shift. Front brakes converted to discs. Currently has 455 with mild cam, edlebrock Torker, 650 Holley, MSD Ig, Turbo 400 w/shift-kit, 355 rears. Last summer I did a complete interior restoration, just need to install new front door panels this spring (perhaps new vinyl seat covers, but I do like the velour).

The car has Hooker Super Competition Headers. If you like a quiet interior not the way to go. If you like that beefy muscle car sound, definately the way to go. I get a lot of compliments on the sound (the mild cam helps this as well). I've actually been working the car back to stock, but a stock exhaust is a nice piece of change so it will be a while before I do that.
The tires are P215/70R14 all around. You need to be a bit careful when turning the front wheels all the way. If you go over a large bump when doing this the tire may hit the inner fender. It's never been a problem for me, well worth the look with the wider tire. I like the look of the tire just tucked under the fenders.
The shifter is a B&M quick silver (not the best), but it gets the job done. It was bit of pain hooking up the nuetral safety and reverse lights, but they both work fine. You also need to make a custom dust plate for the console since the B&M shaft is a lot wider that the original shaft. I have a custom knob with the 442 logo on it. It's a nice touch.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

hi there; were the headers hard to install or did you have any problems installing them.

Thanks for all the compliments!
Black is not the original color. The original color was Lucerne Mist. I too love the black with blue interior.
The interior is the original color combo of med blue and midnight blue. I repainted the instrument panel, dash and A-pillars this past summer. I had a body shop supply store computer match the colors and it worked out well.
As for the headers, I did not install them so I am not sure how easy or hard they went in, but I can find out.

if they are the 1-3/4" primary ones they aren't real bad... i have seen a lot worse. mine had a big dent on the one right side tube from it torquing over into the upper control arm tab. other than that they were fine.
