Ok... time to start sharing some of the progress on my '65 convertible.
I have posted quite a few pictures on another forum... mostly before RamZ dropped me a note to let me know this site existed.
I'll post some of the progress pix if you'd like here. But here is a video of the fun you can have starting a new motor up for the first time. I've been few the same routine a few times before... but you can tell from the video this is my wifes first time (she's behind the camera). Don't you love a new motor virgin?!!! And my brother-in-law has more than his fair share of flinches as we work our way through getting it fired up. ;D
My YouTube "channel" now has a handful of video's from this weekend's activities.

The car spent last summer/fall at the body shop where a friend of mine did all the prep work. I brought it home last December to install the drivetrain once the body work was done, so that I didn't have to risk damaging paint work getting things in order. Of course the budget became tight, so the progress throughout the year has been pretty slow. But I finally got to the point to have the car ready to start. But the day finally came.
I've got all the leaks taken care of... and learned that when the TH400 fell off the jack when installing it last January... we put a hairline crack in it (drips on the floor). Also learned the turbo mufflers are toast... lots of internal rattling below 1200 rpm.
Oh well... things to fix. But this weekend was a blast. Used up about 3 gallons of gas breaking it in and just running it to look for leaks... get the timing set... etc.
