Hey all, I just picked this car up last weekend. It is a 64 Cutlass my Dad bought back in the early 90's, and started to do some work on it before losing interest. Its rough to say the least, but I think I can at least get it back together, and at least drivable. Its been sitting since at least 99 under a tarp, so the motor is locked, and it has more than its share of rust. I just cant see letting it go to scrap. I have already pulled the front clip off of it, and all of the trim. Getting ready to pull the 330 out, so I can start to sand the body down to get an idea of what metal needs to be patched, and/or replaced. It looks like I will need to get a passenger door, and at least the bottom part of the passenger fender. ...not to mention the foor pans, and the entire trunk pan. My Dad had already purchased the entire interior for it, and recovered the seats, so at least that is covered. If anyone has lines on a right side door, and fender, give me a shout. Hell, even a beat up 65 fender will work, if I can at least salvage the bottom part behind the wheel. (I know, asking for alot, but you never know). I will update as I go.

I think I may have 64 doors, I'll have to dig thru and see......................... Thanks Bro, let me know.. That is the way I see it. I can work on this thing during the winter, especially if we have a replay of the shit we had last year.

Moving along slowly.. I got all of the trim off of the car, and have pulled the 330 out which was not easy, since it is locked up. I am not a fan of pulling the motor with the trans attached, but out it came. Not sure if anyone cares about the factory markings on a 64, but here is what I have seen so far. (Dont seem any different than the 65's) On the firewall behind the voltage regulator (Yeah, even the firewall is crusty) On the left side cowl On the right side cowl ...AND the chalk mark on the firewall I got the motor and trans out ...and started to clean the firewall up. I am going to need to get creative with the firewall since it seems the rust runs the entire length to it where the seam sealer was applied. Thank goodness I have been watching my weekly dose of the Powerblock. LOL ;D

I may be getting rid of a rust free 64 F85 4-door? Looks rough, but is solid and still has original paint so no hidden body work. Front clip is about as nice as they come. Rear quarters are rust free as well but some scrapes and a dent on the rear pass side by the tail light. Getting rid of it is dependent on if a friend of mines son wants it. He has no job, money, or car. Can't get one with out the other, so I picked up this 4-door as a loaner for him.
Car runs and drives (not well), so I have some work to do to get it reliable enough I would be willing to loan it to the boy as a daily driver. If he doesn't want it or if more work than I want to mess with. I will 1) either part it out 2) sell complete for 1750.00 which is a bargin if rebuilding one. Interior is trashed, but great body.
