BR I have a stock 330 restored 3 core automatic trans radiator, do you think it will cool the 400E with vintage A/C in the Texas heat? I'm thinking no way The only thing that needs to be done is have the lower inlet tube switched over to the passenger side. I'm thinking you'll have the constant battles with it heating up... I had my car in the Fort Worth area for 20 years, with a rebuilt 4 -row auto trans radiator, with the A/C removed from the car, and a mild 455 and couldn't sit in traffic.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, as mnetioned "just trying to use up what I have". Somebody will need a stock radiator for a restoration. I will post it up for sale. Crap I spent $250.00 getting it restored! Mongoose I may need to pick your brain on this subject as I move forward. Okay the "body shop" over retstoration center The body shop reminds of a massage parlor ;D

OH! I'd love to have something like that for the '65 convertible (Cutlass of course And Lucerne Mist too! Hey... if I'm going to ask, I might as well ask for it all! BTW... didn't someone mention they knew someone that did these sort of graphics off of a picture of your own car. If so, I'd like a contact so that once my car is done, I can do that. I'd love to have a framed picture, and t-shirts made.

I mentioned that the son of one of our newest members who's 65 Cutlass vert won Best of Show at our chapter's annual show can do custom pieces of art of your car. He had one at the show that he did of his dad's car that was really sweet. He takes a photo makes it look like an oil painting of the car with a number of different backgrounds. Let me know if that was what you were looking for.

Lots of stuff going on, I'm off until the 5th so things need to get done, besides the XMAS honey DOOOS. Pictured the 67400E is sitting in the engine cradle with a 200R4 shell. Ton of sand blasted/powder coated parts are back. My fabbed dual snorkel has a little finish work left, then bought the Olds "red" air cleaner paint from Fusick and get that part of the project done. Should look real good/Nostalgic! I also am painting the 64 breather tube and cap to make it look real stealth. As you can see installing a later Olds pulley set up, at some point during the build Vintage A/C, electric fans, are in order. May be leaning on some of you guys for your experience with these upgrades on these old buggys. Looks great, keep up the good work! Man, really that's sweet. How did you "fab" up that air cleaner, is that a 65 with an extra snorkel added?

Must be a '65 aircleaner b/c the pie plate looks awfuly small. BTW, the best match to the '64 red/orange aircleaner paint is Duplicolor Chrysler Red Engine Paint....I have tried numerous colors and this one matches the red on my original '64 442 air cleaner better than any other. Plus, saves you at least $10 over the restoration shops.

Yes those are two Starfire air cleaners. Thought that would look cool. Thanks for the tip on the paint color. Crap I just bought a can of Olds aircleaner red paint knowing that it would not be close, but still an Olds color. I removed one carefully, measured where I needed to cut the hole ( so it's functionally works. Then I taped the snorkel to the air cleaner, used some spray paint and shot the paint into the snorkel hole-that made the pattern for hole to cut. Cut out the hole and welded the snorkel on from the inside. Then had it sand blasted.

That is cool now you have me thinking about it. I was gonna take my extra hood and put a scoop on it and get a 70 oai air cleaner for it. If I do what you did then I could run forced air threw the the inner headlights.

came across this ad on 442.com first I thought you were selling yous then i realized this guy is in Georgia CLICK FOR LARGER IMAGE IN NEW WINDOW 11/22/2011 1964 4-4-2 air cleaner assembly. Complete and fully restored including new deaclas and tins. Bead-blasted and painted. Made from two 1965 Cutlass air cleaners. I reomved the snorkle from one and welded it to the other, duplicating the factory welds. Here is the "65-66 Starfire-64 dual snorkel aircleaner" that that I fabbed up just to something different. FYI I did not like the way the aircleaner turned out as far as texture-rattle can paint. It looks great even in the pictures but my brother took it to work to re-do. FYI- he paints Bentleys'

I love that Raybestos 64, that company and Raybestos decided to build the 64 GTO post car that you may have seen this past summer in the Raybestos give away. I may add that 65 optional drivers side stripe on my 64 either in white or black satin. What do you think?
