Hello, I'm Ed and a serious Olds-A-Holic. I got my '66 for free. Yes, free. I used to work at a local police impound lot and it got brought in. I had to wait 30 days and go through the standard lien sale procedure, but on auction day, the boss bid it up to $320, got it, held on to it until I got back from a run, called me into the office and just handed me the paperwork and told me "this is for helping us out throughout the years" It's an F-85 442, it has a Cutlass front clip. It's been sitting in my posession since 1999 with me picking up parts here and there, it's in the body shop now getting painted that midnight blue they had in '66. It's a Cali car, built in Fremont, sold in Van Nuys at Century Olds and still has the original black n yellow plates. The only cancer is at the bottom of the front and rear windows, body is surprisingly straight. My first car was a '66 442 and always told myself that I would get another one. Well, here It is now the day I got it

That's the best way to get them. Looks like a nice starter for sure.

Auto. It was anyway. It had a 70's small block with the 350 trans and had 4 spun crank bearings. I found a 400 E block and going to build a 2004R. I'm going to go the pro touring type direction. It's still gonna look stock on the outside......for the most part. I wanna cruise this thing in style and comfort! Here's us pulling the old junk out. The boss even let us use the tow truck to pull out the motor!
