Well, I just finished multiple projects on my F350 and super-coupe (Thunderbird). I pulled the bird out this afternoon and looked at the collection of tools that affronted me. So I did something I never did before and set up a table in the center of the garage and commenced a search and recover program. Now at one point or another your wife or maybe yourself says why do you need all these tools, doubles, triples, long and short so as I put them away I made a roster of tools used.
1. Screwdrivers=11
2. grease, two cans, 1 gun
3. sockets, 6 sets, english, metric, swivel, you get the idea
4. Pry bar
5. 1/4 breaker bar ? I don't remember and I can't imagine
6. razor knife
7. PB Blaster & PB Oil
8. Mirror
9. ratchets = 4
10. scissor
11. oil filter wrench = 3
12. battery cleaner
13. pliers = 9, different shapes sizes
14. extensions =7
15. combination wrenches= 22metric, 2 english
16. star wrench set, mack tools, worth every penny
17. one loose 10mm and 16 mm socket
18. pick
19. dielectric grease
Missing in action one 7mm and 14mm 1/4 inch drive deep well socket
Hope I don't find those in the yard next year with the lawn mower.(dozer the dog) nah, they must be hiding under the bench or something
oil drain pan, 2.5 gallons of synthetic oil and two wix oil filters,
now some of you guys might be neat and put back tools you don't need or crawl from underneath the car every time you need a different tool, thats too much screwing around for me. Anyways there is no moral to this story other than you can NEVER have too many tools, and in all this I didn't even dent the tool box's stock of tools.more is defiantly the way to be, you never want to be short of tools.
