That's correct, saves a bunch of money also. I'd be happy to just put some filler on and paint.

Body filler will take care of that pitting. If you prep the frame like the car youll end up with a really nice frame. before... after... it takes a lot of time and patience. i had to cut two spots out (holes) and weld in new plates, and one of the rear body mount perches was really bad, so i re-made that as well. i had to cut the driverside gusset out behind the trans x-member to straighten it and the frame as it was bent and the framerail was caved up in, and i also had to straighten the rear x-member and weld it back in. at one point someone wrapped a chain around it, bent this shit out of it, and broke the welds. i am guess both of these things may have happened from the same incedent. at any rate, time and patience.

Hey Kid Oh so correct, I was going to ask oldspeed442 where he got that 9 inch set up from and figured at this current time I need just to get mine back in one piece. I think after this weekend if I get my sons truck out of the garage I'll be able to slide the frame over and stat putting together a plan to make it one piece.

Bubba looks like a pretty ambitious project .i paint cars for a living and still couldnt bring myself to dig that deep into a frame.

Paint cars for a living do ya, I'll have to remember that. I think the Kid told me about you, you work out at the GMPG and paint all their show cars? ;D But about the frame, it's a done deal, in two pieces now. You know what they say, out with the bad in with the good. Well that's what I say, I just have to put it back together, no big deal.
