Hi. I am looking for the pillar post covers for a 65 442 post car. Prferably black but I can dye them if needed. Also, if there is supposed to be a trim piece around the windshield on the inside I would take that too. This car is an original 4 speed 442 car that I am going to drag race. The previous owner striped out the interior and mostly tossed it so I am trying to put it back together enough to race it. I might be interested in any other reasonable good interior parts also, to save having to buy new. Let me know. Thanks.

Probably missing something but don't have pillar post covers on my 65 cutlass but maybe they are just different?

My guess... This is the trim piece that covers up the spot welds on the post, so I suppose it would make sense that it would be a pillar post cover...

Sorry for sounding rather dumb, but I don't know what else to call these things. i can't post a pic 'cause they are missing. But, they are at the FRONT of the interior, between the the front door opening and the windshield. Not the side pillar post. They go along the windshield and extend up from the dash up to the headliner area. Maybe the '65's don't even have them but my '70 does and so did my 68 and 72. Does that make any more sense??

65's have them, like a plastic channel, I'll see if I can find a picture.

Pinchweld trim, comes in a huge roll. Measure what you need and buy it.

Thought he was looking for the piece that covers the pinchwelds that run from the bottom of the door jamb and up the B pillar? (windlace)...and he also asked whether there was supposed to be trim around the inside of the windshield.(there ain't)

I don't think he is talking about the pinch weld trim at all.......... Later models had plastic covers over the inside "A" pillar. Like the Zoomie rice burner guage sets that run up the drivers side.

My rear window has the plastic covers around it, I never nioticed the front, I imagine it does also, is that what he's talking about.

The metal piece running up from the dash pad. Is it a cover or part of the car. The newer 68-72's were a cover, but I don't knoe about the 65's.

Is that arrow pointing to the metal pillar, the scratch in the paint or the black concrete wall beside the car??? I'm still confused.
