There supposed to work really good if you or somebody else fix's them up. If you read some about them on the internet you will find that they have kits to do this and that. Personally if it runs good, is not a fire risk, I'd run the bitch.

So what is it? Anybody know where I can get the screw-in "plug" for the front w/ seal? As it happens, it ran Like a r@ped ape 'till the front seal around that plug started leaking! Is this the "Quadra-hog"? Data plate indicates an April '65 build date. Ralph

Whats on it now, looks like some kind of epoxy. If it's just a plug, and it ran good when it was sealed, I might get some epoxy, scrap that old stuff off and reseal it.

The blue stuff is what I used to do exactly that- didn't seal! I'll probably try again w/ something else, 'cause it seems to run better than w/ the performer 750 I have on it now. Tnanx 4 the input! Ralph

heres what i found, your missing a factory hammered over plug! not sure why it was removed. thats the fuel inlet. your options are plug what you have or replace the carb body i think. open to options from these guys also stan

It's not really missing! Looks like it's been ground flush w/ the body, which caused the leak. The fuel inlet that was hooked up comes in from the left front, just above & left of the plug. There's a label saying "filter" on the connector. Ralph

I'd start looking for a new carb/carb body...

There might be several ways to fix that, first thing is to try to find someone / or yourself to figure out what the body is made of. I know most are a form of pot metal, but some were cast iron. You might be able to get a plug machined in there or welded(if it's not pot metal). Pull that glob off and take a couple more pictures.

should be able to press out remnants of existing plug, tap threads in the hole and plug it. material is aluminumn i think.
